During very busy times there can be a constant running to shops for widgets, long hours (and weekends) of building and shipping to various teams in the field or other offices. Everything that's built, bought, shipped, and/or loaned must also be recovered, inventoried, tested, repaired, sold or stored. During slow times there is the constant effort to keep the space usable, organized, and clean.
The Actions Logistics Representative will help with all of these functions, spending most days in the equipment center and occasional days in the main office. Further, they may also be called on to assist with general Actions needs, from research and planning to on-site logistics.

Given this, we are seeking a strong manager that can support the development and progression of our Chicago Team, while being able to effectively manage and implement multiple tasks simultaneously, including but not limited to: scheduling assemblies, ensuring effective implementation and delivery of presentation, nurturing and developing partnerships, creating open lines of communication with headquarters, and coordinating PR efforts.
Required Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills—dynamic, engaging personality
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking, detail oriented, self-motivated
• 3-5 years experience managing other team members
• Ability to develop cogent work plans, manage and prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Comfortable taking a leadership role in a small collaborative team environment
• Takes pleasure in enabling and supporting others to be effective in their work
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and iWork
• Solid understanding of global climate change and the youth environmental movement,
including environmental justice issues, climate policy, and/or youth advocacy issues
• Ability to manage a variety of team members and projects ensuring clear and constant
communication while working from a home office
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience in theatre or other forms of performance art
• Teaching experience or other experience working with high school age students
• Familiarity with the Chicago area school systems and local NGO community
• Experience working with diverse communities
• Public relations experience
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com
Schedule: This is full-time position, 40 hours per week
Salary: Commensurate with Experience

Role Purpose To assess, improve and modify/redesign current electricity supply systems to ensure that power services are efficiently, effectively & economically distributed without wastage
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Key Accountabilities Key Activities
Energy Efficiency
Develop and manage the implementation of energy efficiency improvement projects and works with facility operations and maintenance staff to optimize the operating protocols of existing systems and equipment.
Present energy program performance results, monthly energy cost impacts, annual energy budgets reviews, and participates in energy procurement activities
Advise Management on the long term and short term impact of energy efficiency projects on overall performance of our Client
Team Management
Provide guidance and training to increase awareness of energy management fundamentals
Supervise any energy department clerical and technical staff and interfaces with utility suppliers, contractors, and other agencies in order to defend our Client's interests
Policies & Guidelines
Design or improve policy and methods for the increase of energy efficiency
Communication
Communicate with colleagues and management through briefings, technical and operational reports and presentations
Reporting
Create and issue periodic and ad-hoc reports to management

Industry/Domain Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job
Strong understanding of energy efficient technologies
10 + years experience in the field of energy efficiency
Education and Certification requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering
